When it comes to being a maker, teachers and students have always created items using inexpensive tools. For many years paper, pencil, gluesticks and popsicle sticks have been the standard creative medium for students. Students would be given activities to build a solution based on the tools that they have access to using. Now adding computers to the mix with reusable materials, there are so many options to create. We teach so many student about creating in physical from and capture into digital, we need to complete the circle by creating digitally and processing that design into a physical format.

Being able to teach students how to be entrepreneurs is critical to the future of our country. Maker education is about the journey of learning to begin the path to innovation.

What is Maker Movement?

The standard definition is started in the mid-2000's to describe a group of people who created items using homemade or inexpensive tools. It is about using a person creativity to solve a problem. Makers focus on inventing a solution with the tools that they have.
